"Wolf lady, where.. is your belly?!"

Brixie looks down at her-

Oh.

Oh no.

She immediately looks to Hoop for what so say, tired and frustrated that they're being harassed again, but then the drawing of swords and Almosded's insistence to draw a weapon too leaves Brixie to just snap angrily. She gets in the face of the Cabbit with teeth showing, shouting, "ENOUGH!! PUT THOSE SWORDS AWAY OR I SWEAR TO YOU THAT I WILL BREAK EVERY FINGER AND TOE YOU HAVE UNTIL YOU BEG ME FOR MERCIFUL DEATH AND THEN WHEN I DECIDE TO FINALLY GRANT YOU THE SWEET RELEASE FROM THIS MORTAL COIL YOUR FAMILY WILL NOT FIND YOUR BODY!!"

Hoop exhausts herself to help Brixie.

"Do you harass all vagabonds entering the village? We simply wish to walk around in peace. We have no desire or reason to fight." Hoop is not looking to throw down in the middle of the town.

Miltonian: OOC:

I think it fit this move the best-

Trick an NPC[/B]
When you trick an NPC to get what you want,
roll with Cunning.
On a hit, they take the bait and do what you want.
On a 7–9, they can instead choose one:
Ώ They hesitate; you shake their confidence or
weaken their morale.
Ώ They stumble; you gain a critical
opportunity.
Ώ They overreact; take +1 forward against
them.

So choose!

Hoop&Brixie

ooc: partial success.

IC:

Major Bungeon's ears fold back, Minnie the female mink Marquisate guard and her collegue, Pitch- a male skunk lower down their swords.

Bungeon talk- but not as arrogant as they have used to. .Almost apolgeticly.

"It's not like that. We have specific orders. This clearing waits for the arrival of a great foriegner merchant, and my Captain believe you have information about him. He just want to ask you few questions- that all!"

She looks to Brixie, "That all." She doesn't believe that's all considering that they almost got press ganged last time they went with them. She turns to them, "We really do not know anything. You likely know more than we do. We came across a wrecked cart. As far as I know everyone died or has gone elsewhere by now."

"Your captain is mistaken, and probably just wants to bully a bunch of newcomers because he's got nothing better to do that would justify his pay. Now just let us be as we've caused no trouble. However, if you insist on bullying us, know that this other wolf here with us is not on a leash and if he decides to get rowdy because you keep wasting our time, I'm not going to help you."

Ripley

Ripley's monologue confuse and anger Sharpfang.

"To join you? I am not even the strongest member of the pack, and you arent a wolf!"

he reply, giving Ripley a time to scheme something.

"You know what? Enough talking- let's get SMASHING!"

He charge forward waving his great mace.

Rikitikitavi, muddy and shivering in her thin silk garbs, pull her scimitars, and spin into a blade dance.

She manage to parry the mace, the blades sing as they vibrate from the force that finally push rikitikitavi to the muddy ground.

Sandukan spin the spear between his fingers, and then give a low swish at Sharpfang"s feet, tripping him over, so Shapfang now right next to Ripley.

Hoop&Brixie

"Captain Cattenberg isnt like that." Bungeon argues, but raise his paws.

"But it seems, we dont have enough force at the moment to enforce the law. So we will go to get reinforcment."

They back off.

"But be warned- the next invitation wont be as friendly."

And if the vagabonds doesnt chase them away, they leave the area.

But denizens glare at the group- some with fear, some with admire and some with both

"As usual, you are always making a scene." Almosded say with a sigh,as he collect his ropes again.

"We bettet talk at a quiter place. Will you follow me?"

Brixie bows to the crowd. "This is your home. Don't let those who profess to be in charge deny you the right to walk freely."

Brixie looks at the paw, but won't take it. "I think we are too deep into this to just walk out, so lead the way. Show us what this job is you have."

Brixie will follow the wolf.

She shouts at the fleeing people. "The law is the people!"

She joins in with Brixie in speaking to those that are giving her attention, "A fearful denizen is not a free denizen. Unbind yourself from fear and live the way you desire!"

She agrees, "Show us the way."

Into the breach once more, then. Ripley decides that now is no time to come up with some overly convoluted scheme. Instead, he jams the haft of his pike into the handle of the still scorching hot pot and shouts at the big wolf. "Have a little taste o' fire, lad!" He hurls the pot forward and will attempt to aim for the wolf's head. In particular, he hopes to get it stuck on top of the wolf's snout and face, giving him a good few burns.

  • 2 weeks later...

Shadoras-Shadow

Rain. deer* damn rain.

Mud. Wet.

the snake had accompanied merchants, friends and companions**- but the night before, they were attacked and destroyed by a large group of bandits.

Most of the attackers were rabbits. The spider-crabs*** have ran away.

Shadoras has technicaly won, but still has lost the team.

So now he was alone.

Why were they even at the route to Honey Well?

Treasure from far away land. Or at least, rumors about it: That a Prince Merchant from the Ivory Vallèy was on his way to get there, carrying priceless gold, silk, spices and trinkets.

After walking(slithering) of a half a day, in the woods, warmth and cry battlea attract Shadow back into the path-

around mud pits, with a giant pyre nearby and dozen lf burning trees, that combined with the rain are causing a mist of smoke.

In the midst of this chaos, a wolf struggle with a pair of moongooses and fox.

The fox looks fitting to the descprition two friends of Shadoras have told him- a pirate fox called Ripley.

He might even know about the prince-merchant... also the moongooses are dressed like foriegners.

Few paws away from them, laid down not moving, an otter with lots of burn marks.

*deer are sort revered as deities of sort.

** We can devolp them now, or later, or not at all if the need arise.

Even if they are dead, maybe they have their own backgrounds

*** here insects are parallel to our animals and crab-spiders are parallel to horses

Ripley&Shadow

ooc: Damn. It took me ages to find Confuse the senses

iC:

Ripley Firetail basicly punch fire into Fang the wolf's face.

His nose is getting burnt and he yowl in pain dropping the giant mace.

Rikitikitavi (the female moongoose) slash at him with her twin scimitars, in deadly dance move, while Sandukan simply have stabbed the wolf"s flat belly.

Fang's eyes have bulged. He fell back and stopped moving.

The wolf shillouttes dissapear.

But the situation isnt safe just yet- the muddy ground combined with the blaze, making whole burning trees to lean and about to fall all around!

Shadowing and smoking over Ripley&co and also Shniff the otter.

Hoop&Brixie

The crowd gets riled up. Chants wishpers and loud conversations pass through while Almosded lead the way.

"Well said. Even if it was at stupid timing." He comment.

As the pass through the Clearing, at other turn they see Peter&Cabjuella riling up the crowd even more.

"We dont frisky cats, nor feather brained birds! Rise up denizens!' They yell.

"YEAH!!!" the crowd cheer.

Almosded pass through that lead toward North East- vaguly at the dircetion of Thumper"s household.

But... from the street curve behind them where the crowd is getting very riled up, beyond them is heard "BUK! BUK! What is this nonesense?!"

a rotund hen, looking even bigger due to the heavy armor she wear, and sarounded by dozen of blue shirted guards with lowered spears toward the crowd.

She didnt seemed to notice Brixie&Hoop.

The crowd grow silent.

"Buk buk! Go home! Shoo!"

Almosded mamble as he lead.

"More chaos and bloodshed is good for us..."

do Brixie keep going with Almosded or...?

Shadow is slightly feeling stressed by the flames. Having heat sensors can be a blessing and a curse. Fortunatly though, its raining outside so its not so bad. Still, because of that, he keep his mouth shout and breath from his nose. He put his nose down his cloak collar and he slither with speed to the otter with burnt mark, to make sure they are still alive. If they are, he make sign to Ripley and the two others to get closer and help him drag that body out of here. The path he came from didnt have any wolf coming his way so he tries going this way, where there is no fire yet. He is glad its still raining, the fire shouldn't spead in those condition.

Hoop says to Almosded, "No! It's been far, far too late! People should have thrown off their shackles long ago!"

She flaps her wings as she takes to the air and hovers with the group.

She says to Almosded, "Blood is not to be wasted lightly! I'll talk to our friends!" She flaps and swoops towards Peter & Cabjuella, "What's happening? Where is Ripley?"

Victory! Ah, sweet victory. And also terrible, mortal danger. But such is the life of a daring pirate captain. Ripley claps his two underlings on the back. "Good job, mates! Good work. Now, grab the otter an' let's scoo-"

Suddenly, he sees the newcomer, and his weapon is back in his paws in an instant. "Who be ye?" he demands. To him, he cannot tell if Shadow is here to kill the otter or help him. But, he is not ready to see the goodbeast die yet, and so is prepared to defend him, however, unnecessary that caution may eventually prove.
