Starhawk Posted January 18 Author Clone Share Posted January 18 (edited) Northern Company Party Turn Torren, after an early period of success, swings his blade fit to chop an ox in half. However, he misses his crab once more. Heva moves towards where the main combat is further south. Theo looses another pair of glittery homing daggers of brilliant energy down the beach, striking the crab there, which again loses track of what it's doing. Drew misses with his shield. Drew's warhorse hits home with both hooves on a crab, ending its scuttling pincering life. One of the civilians, this one close to Heva, gets up off the sand and runs towards the dunes, looking terrified. The civilian on the ground, next to the warhorse, opens her eyes, but is too terrified to do anything except freeze, which is good for them. ______________________ Enemy Turn Crab 2, continuing its mutually ineffectual dance with Torren, doesn't even get close to the valiant fighter with either claw. Crab 4, having avoided Drew's shield, reaches in and grabs a limb, grappling him with one claw, and squeezing. The second claw likewise lands, though thankfully it doesn't manage to maintain hold. Even so, Drew finds himself in real trouble, even more so if he gets pinned. Crab 6, unaware the easy target is awake, concentrates on Drew's warhorse. A claw hits home but the warhorse is too big to hold onto. Crab 7 unable to figure out with its pea sized brain why its in more and more pain, retreats into the sea. __________________ @Rakle @dhemon @dtspurrier @Penchant Your turn. Starhawk Posted January 18 Author Clone Share Posted January 18 (edited) Southern Company Party Turn Billings reaches for the sword he'd cleverly tossed point first into the sand, when dropping it would have drastically reduced his life expectancy. He swings his blade at the Draugr, but the angle is off and the Draugr simply sidesteps out of its path. Raziel channels before he moves, one of the Draugr in the pit collapses in a heap of blistered flesh and shattered bones. The other three Draugr appear close to suffering the same fate, moaning in clear distress. Edwin gets out of the way, looking the worst for wear, but clearly the worst is over. Trayvan backs off with the priest, moving to a position where Raziel's bodyguard would be expected to stand. ______________________ Enemy turn Draugr 1 swings at Billings with his two handed axe and misses by a country mile. Draugr 3 picks up his heels and runs towards the isolated Billings. Draugr 7 joins Draugr 3 in racing towards Billings. Perhaps these undead are far cleverer than I had first imagined, Father de' Fatale thinks to himself as he mentally prays for the fallen. Changing tactics once again, the holy man says, "Let's keep whatever survivors who are alive safe. I'm going to try and help the warrior and his dog," Raz quickly reveals. Noticing that Edwin is bleeding from several wounds, the cleric adds, "I'll heal you soon, but since you're hurt could you please establish an overwatch on the beach, so we don't get surprised while we quickly mop up the battlefield?" Assuming there are no objections, the armed Priest of Erastil jumps back into the skirmish as he quickly moves forward toward the remaining foes who are attacking one of the armed shipwreck survivors and channels a wave of invisible positive energy once he is in range, the effects of which divine power of the gods are very visible for present to see, hear and smell as their rotted flesh cooks down to the now blacken bone. Once again having placed his battered body within easy reach of the foul Draugr in an effort to save the souls of the living, assuming any enemies are still standing, then Father Raziel once again mentally concentrates on innate abilities associated with Erastil's natural link to animals as he covers his body with a covering of thin Chitin which toughens his body and boosts the health of his soul in anticipation of the worst, as well as things getting even worse!
