He roots around in his pouch for a moment and then passes two potions of cure light wounds to M. "Not sure these will do him much good at this point, but it has to be better than not trying at all."

He takes a step away from M so she can concentrate on listening to and potentially healing the man, and looks around at the other nearby patrons. "Is there anyone skilled in the healing arts present? We have a man who could use your help."

Flaming DwarfAt Brody's word, Igni nodded and headed for the kitchen where perhaps the healing abilities of his god would be useful. He arrived to see a redheaded young man handing over two healing potions to staunch the collapsed man's wounds.

"Yer a good lad to hand over such things in a pinch like this," Igni remarked as he arrived at the man's side. Potions of healing, no matter how weak or strong, were an adventurer's lifeline and even the weakest ones that the young man had offered were worth a year's wages to the average laborer. Such generosity spoke well of him. "But save those draughts for when yer life is in danger. I have some healing by the grace of Tharmekhul. I'll do what I can for him."

Igni knelt by the man's side and raised his holy symbol in one hand while laying the other on the man's chest as it glowed with holy light.

He is dressed in once-white robes and a blue cloak. Under his robes are a chain shirt, and he has a longsword at his belt. A silver chain around his neck supports a medallion: a fist holding a bolt of lightning.

Flaming DwarfIgni withdraws his hand slowly, regretfully, muttering a prayer for swift passage into the afterlife.

"Yes," he answered the cook's question. "But don't think of it like that. He came to you in his final moments and you were able to comfort him so he didn't die alone. It was a mercy and a blessing." He tried to reassure her, not wanting her to think of her kitchen as somehow tainted or cursed.

Igni noticed the symbol of the fist holding a lightning bolt on the silver chain. It was similar to his own holy symbol of Tharmekhul, only the design of the medallion was different. He tried to recall which god's sigil that was.

Brody watches as the others rush in and try to help the young man, even though in the end it did no good. When he sees the cook break down he comes over and looks her in the ryes with an earnest look.. "Madame, while I know it is tough to see someone die. It is never easy, it appears that he may have been some sort of clericperhaps and if so he will be in the bossom of their loving embrace. So how did he come to be here? While we may not have been able to save him, its possible we can figure out what happened to them and give them some justice, what do you say, can you help?" he hoped his questions would distract her a bit and she could help them get some answers.

IDIOTS!!! Gregor is gone and yet the Abbey remains! What must I do to destroy this haven for the simpering curs of the enemy!?! Their determination to forgive every fault sickens me, and makes me nauseous! Now I must devise another means to discredit this worthless order of imbeciles.

A fleeting thought dances in my mind. Perhaps I can use another weapon to dig away at the base of this hated abbey. The new abbot is still working on solidifying his position. If I can think of a way to discredit him or his abilities, then perhaps I can make sure that someone more worthy, more open to our cause, will be admitted to the Abbot's Council. I must think on this.

Hextor leads me to greatness! Last night, HE gave me a vision of the power of fear. If anger and despair cannot move the council to disband this group of misfits, then perhaps fear will persuade the Abbot to close these doors once and forever!

We'll have your fine kitchen righted soon enough - after all, once the tale grows in the telling, this cozy establishment will be busy enough for ten kitchens as everyone comes to hear the story about the disappearing giant in the kitchen."

Momentarily turning his attention from the woman, Orin clicks his tongue toward the badger and then speaks in the tongue of goblins, "Badger, track!" He points to the dead man, clicking his tongue again. The armored badger scurries into the kitchen, snuffling around the corpse before following the trail outside.

After about ten minutes (during which you could do something), one of the beds has been brought down. It’s a solid lumber affair, with a network of rope to hold a person up, and a mattress which is a big bag of straw.
