Downtown San Francisco, 12:02 p.m.

 

Deadman/Urvogel:

The winged hero arrives and both head back to the fiery scene at midtown!

 

Everyone:

Jinn's flaming blast misses the Mecha-Dragon as it dips down flying lower to the street! Then Psi-Star flies into the metal monstrosity's gaping maw!!

 

Psi-Star:

The hero finds himself inside the massive robo-dragon! The Mecha-beast's 'mouth' is lined with energy-projectors and sharp metallic fangs the size of small cars! Its 'throat' is the size of a city street lined with metal and humming power lines! It's interior resembles a hi-tech aircraft that is roughly 250 feet across and nearly three times that in length! A loud electro-mechanical hum echoes through the stadium-sized interior!

OOC

Again; the Mech-Dragon's interior is the size of a sports stadium. There's electro-machinery everywhere. Psi-Star is currently moving through the 'throat' and towards the 'abdomen'.

This Macro-Power duplicates the characteristics of any other power. The power rank for the duplicated power is this rank (AM50). Such powers remain as long as the hero maintains his concentration on its existence. Only 1 power can be duplicated at a single time, and switching powers takes 3 turns.

The power works through exposure. The hero must be within 10 of the power to duplicate it for later use. A GREEN feat allows for a successful result. 

The maximum number of powers the hero can duplicate is equal to the power rank (AM50), and if he exceeds the limit replace a newer power with an older power.

The hero can also develop a power stunt that allows him to duplicate Talents as well.

Nemesis is Mind Drain.

The hero's flesh is able to withstand major damage from Physical and Energy attacks only. It works by reducing incoming Physical and Energy attacks intensities by the Resistance rank, and anything over the Resistance rank is taken as damage. The power heals the epidermis at 10x normal rate.

"Wait, what? He just went inside that thing???", Invulnerable thought. Then "What was he thinking?", he said, spacer.png

to no one in particular, maybe those new guys flying toward him and the dragon. "I better follow him to make sure he gets out alright." With that, he moves towards to dragon's maw to follow that insane hero inside whaterever the dragon is, really.

Invulnerable

As Invulnerable flies in, he gets ready to be attacked by those vicious artificial flames butspacer.png luckily, this time they didn't come. "Whew, something tells me this could've been a lot worse. Where's the other guy? Can't be too far, I guess." Listening closely, Invulnerable starts to fly slowly in the enormous tunnel. Not long, though, until he hears the other hero's steps, so flies closer and welcomes him: "Hi there! Sorry, I couldn't let you get lost in here alone.", he says, taking a good look around, trying to take in the size of the complex structure. "Wow, I have to say, this is something unexpected, at least! The name's Invulnerable, nice to meet you. Did you happen to find anything out? You seemed to purposefully fly inside - what are we looking for?"

Mic was livid. He couldn't believe the sheer audacity of the person who had snuck up behind him while they were both inside the dragon's mouth. He had been on the verge of unleashing a blast of fury when the intruder proved to be not much of a threat after all. "Seriously, dude? You're making enough noise to wake the dead. Maybe go...I don't know...rescue a baby or something," Mic muttered under his breath as he stealthily made his way down the hallway. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks and turned to face the newcomer. "The laser's down but it's rebooting. Now's your chance to get everyone out of here," he said, his voice low and urgent. Then without another word, and with a determined look, Mic continued on his mission, leaving the stranger behind to carry out his duty.

Downtown San Francisco, 12:03 p.m.

 

Star-Girl, Jinn, Deadman and Urvogel: 

As they all reassemble downtown, the heroes see Invulnerable follow Psi-Star into the Mecha-Dragon's mouth!! The metal monster soars around the area swiftly then lands with a rumbling "BOOOM!!" on the tallest downtown skyscraper and begins clawing huge blocks of debris from the tower!! Bike stands, benches and vehicles parked on the street below start getting crushed by the falling tons of debris!

 

Invulnerable and Psi-Star:

As the heroes investigated the Mech's interior there's a near-deafening "BOOOOM!!!" that shakes the entire structure! Then the heroes hear what sounds like a massive avalanche coming from outside the Mech!! 

Positioning

Urvogel and Deadman are airborne, about 200 feet over the street and about a block from the Mech and the building it has landed on.

Jinn is street-level about a block away from the Mech.

Star-Girl is airborne, about 300 above the street and 3/4-block from the Mech.

Invulnerable and Psi-Star are inside the Mech approaching its mid-torso region.

Invulnerable

"Suit yourself.", thinks Invulnerable, shrugging involuntarily but visibly, then continues to spacer.png fly forward. His direction happens to coincide with Psi-Star's, for now, but otherwise completely ignores him.

Soon enough a deafening noise hits his ears. "Whoa, that was harsh! But I think it came from the outside..I better hurry up as much as I can, what, or whoever I end up finding here."

I can probably take a hit from one of those chunks of concrete. Probably.

Urvogel and Deadman:

The duo sails closer to the Mecha-Dragon as it seems momentarily distracted with destroying the skyscraper it's perched upon!

Jinn:

The speedy superheroine gets National Guardsmen too close to the battle-zone away from harm just before huge falling debris crashes next to the building!

 

Invulnerable and Psi-Star:

The heroes venture deeper into what's obviously more war-machine than robot - maybe a combination! As they near a massive closed bay door, a smaller doorway to their lower left slides open and a man hops through wielding an assault rifle of some kind - and fires energy blasts at the heroes! Invulnerable gets hit by the energy blast that bounces harmlessly off his body!

OOC

The two heroes are about one area (44 yards) from the large (250 feet wide) closed bay door. The shooter emerged from another smaller door to the heroes' lower (I'm assuming they're flying) left so he's also about one area away. Illumination is very good and there's no obstacles blocking vision. The entire interior of the Mecha-Dragon is metal, similar to a warship-spacecraft hybrid.

Psi-Star knows from his previous scans that the power-core and human crew are on the other side of the larger bay door.

Mic cursed aloud as the henchman appeared and opened fire.  He had never tested the suit's forcefield at this range, so he hoped it was sufficient.  He leveled his right hand at the man and let the suit channel it into a powerful energy blast. 

OOC:  

  • Telekinesis: RM (2,000 lbs. across 8 areas)  
  • Force Field: RM defense (contact only)

Both white results.  not sure how the forcefield works for rolls.
