He's not from the kind of place where that happens. He didn't normally wake up quite so early but he was used to putting some work on his body. He wasn't a morning person, but compared to the average teenager? Breakfast. He leans toward the Protein end of the breakfast foods. Americans and their Sugar. Why did they eat like they had universal healthcare? At least he also had time to get in a quick shower. His t-shirt in time was still in German but it looked like a basic band t-shirt for something along a punk or ska vibe. "You looked like you needed your beauty sleep more." Volker quips back to Jack with a chuckle. The announcement comes, and like the other students he's quickly working on the math of how those numbers could add up... He helped himself to a generous serving of bacon, baked beans and toast. He also pocketed an apple to snack on later. Jake made note of how his own team was doing and looked around when the faculty announced the current scores, noticing the embarrassed girl who had apparently been caught on the boys floor. He wondered idly who had the stick now. Whomever it is would have to either bring it with them to class or risk the faculty grabbing it during the day. Xerin Posted November 7, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted November 7, 2023 The tables get cleared rather quickly after the announcement and you can hear more than a couple of students trying to strategize on the information provided by the teachers. A couple of students who were late downstairs, grab a pancake or two and stuff them in their mouths as people get ready for class. As you walk down the hall to class, you see an announcement board in the core hallway that has the welcome, a calendar with events a few weeks in the future. As well as a couple of weird comments on it. Such as 'Blood Visit' which is happening later today, 'Foxx Visit' which was later on in the week. And a few others that were equally vague. Feel free to roll an investigation check before you go to class. Any actions taken between now and class are taken, if you want to know if any students share your class you can find out after entering. It was hard enough to connect with people, considering how often he moved around, so he really wanted to get a good first impression. Considering the reputation of his teacher, he really didn't want to get on his bad side. Still, a little curiosity about upcoming events couldn't hurt... Was it really too much to believe that the Ancient Egyptian Gods are too? Jake briefly considered that taking a Theology or World Religion elective might be a good idea at some point in the future. Jake headed to whatever his first class was, while keeping an eye out for people he recognized as well as anyone who might have the rod on their person. You hear the pulling of chairs as different students settle into the room and hurry toward class. Still, if there was anyone who knew a thing or two about how math could be practically applied, it would be a former supervillain. Placing himself squarely in the middle of the classroom, he did his best to pay attention and keep up with Dr. Fries' lesson on algebra. Some of it didn't make sense right away, but he'd gotten good enough at shorthand to cram a lot of information into a few words.
