Then he gets a fun little idea. A hamburger patty goes naked on a ceramic plate, slap on a fried egg, some cheese, get some other things ready nearby, open up the bun, a pile of fries and - he breathes. He did want to get control over his powers, that wasn't going to happen without practice. Set it down, and breathe. His eyes close, he breathes deep - lifts up the tray until it's just a little lower then his face... His mouth opens, and behind his teeth comes shimmers of heat and light like a raging internal furnace was dancing the edge of exploding. A small breath and a small line of flame rushes forward but just a few inches as he concentrates. The goal quickly becomes obvious - he intends to melt the cheese a bit, toast the buns, maybe push the fries a little closer to crispy... "Ja, that -" He started to talk but realized that every sound beyound a faint whisper threw flames from his mouth at least a foot so he stopped and just concentrated on geneating some Heat to make this perfect. Apparently he thought of that, hence the raising of the tray so that the flames at least go relatively harmlessly above everything. It doesn't take long for him to be satisfied and pull the heat back. "Cooking wit Dragonfire, ja?" He wasn't hungry and wants to avoid staring at the food service golems. He heads over to the table with Francis, two boys, and a girl. Getting Francis's attention, he says, "is this seat taken? He doesn't bother to take off his jacket, he doesn't feel like he needs too. Kind of a perk of his abilities has always been that he doesn't really get hot. Since his latest power surge, he's pretty sure he could straight up walk into a fire and be fine. The food on his tray definitely got some extra cooking, the fries were from a squishy-pale to a deep brown, but he seemed to like it that way. "Ja. Fun at Hero High." If not, we can grab a seat with my roommate over there." He stuck a thumb over his shoulder towards Jake, assuming he's still in the cafeteria.
