Father Wilwick Bramblemane, Halfling Cleric

Brother Bramblemane had successfully snuck into position where the diminutive Halfling can unexpectedly attack through the small space between the pillar and closely adjacent wall.

While attempting to maintain his hiding position behind cover, Wilwick quietly spins his sling until it becomes a blur before he releases its bullet at the Hobgoblin who is closest to the ladder leading up to the alcove being used as an archery perch.

As the nearly invisible projectile swiftly flies across the room toward its flat-footed target, the tiny bullet barely makes a 'whizzing' noise much like a buzzing insect flying by.

After completing his ranged assailment, the tiny holy man leans back using the wall as cover as he reloads another small bullet in his sling preparing for his next opportunity to take advantage of any openings in the skirmish that will allow the Halfling to attack the enemy again.

Both archers, who were ready for someone to come around the corner, take aim at Fable and Celuna and fire, though both miss.

spacer.pngQUICK STATS:  AC=17, Touch=12, FF=17 / HP=8/8 / Init=0 / Saves: Fort=5, Reflex=2, Will = 6  ________________________________________________________________________

Brother Bramblemane freezes when the pair of Hobgoblins see him, and both simultaneously launch arrows directly at a couple of colleagues of the diminutive Halfling priest.

However, when both arrows barely miss the holy man friends leaving them untouched and without a scratch, Wilwick says a silent prayer of thankfulness to the gods!

Realizing the tactical import of what had just happened, the tiny minister calls out in a loud, yet fairly high-pitched voice, "They both spent their ammo on us and missed!"

"Camlann and Gwen, RUSH THEM NOW while they are unable to counterattack," the padre adds enthusiastically! "Everyone else, FIRE!"

Camlann Cobb

Despite Wilwick's enthusiastic admonition, Camlann sticks to the plan and lets Gwen rush in first to engage the hobgoblins. spacer.png

Following in the now much larger woman's footsteps, he moves quickly to the far side of the hobgoblins' hiding place and looks for an opening to stab one of them with his halberd.

Delay until Gwen has taken her turn.

Double move to the square directly east of the ladder up to the perch.

Gwen

Gwen marches forward charging head first towards the hobgoblins, hoping to provide sufficient distraction to let her group get closer.

As she approaches she swings at the nearest goblin with her sword.

Fable hisses an unpleasantness at the hobgoblin that fired at her, and lurches out of her hiding place, aims as well as she can at whichever of the brigands is still standing, and pulls the trigger on her cross bow.

Crescenda does her best to not get trampled when everyone else launches into the planned attack at full at a far greater speed than she can manage. Then she tries her sincere best to rush into cover behind the closest pillar that is unoccupied. Only after all that does she manage to make a fair attempt at firing at a target, either of them really.

Conditions, Actions And Things Of Interest

Move Action: Crescenda moves to take cover behind the pillar in the South-East corner of the room.

Standard Action: Crescenda fires at either of the archers. I leave it to DM's discretion which.

The remaining hobgoblin, not apparently much disturbed by the appearance of a giantess, drops his bow so he can grab his hand axe and swing it at Gwen. He somehow manages to miss a giant standing right in front of him!

Father Wilwick Bramblemane, Halfling Cleric

spacer.pngQUICK STATS:  AC=17, Touch=12, FF=17 / HP=8/8 / Init=0 / Saves: Fort=5, Reflex=2, Will = 6  ________________________________________________________________________

Brother Bramblemane scowls when he misses with his first shot, but the Halfling minister begins to again spin his sling rapidly and then releases a second bullet at the remaining Hobgoblin in the archer's loft but he woefully misses.

After making his attack, the diminutive holy man realizes that future shots will be rather complicated from now on, so instead Wilwick reloads his sling and focuses his attention on the double-doors across the room readying an attack should additional foes arrive.

As he stands watch over the rest of the room, the tiny Domain Priest keeps his eyes and ears focused on the surrounding environment watching and listening for the sight or sound of movement or anything unusual.

She steps out and lines up another shot, should the other hobgoblin remain standing.

Gwen continues to stand at the front lines as despite her not being fully used to her temporary giant size is able to avoid the swing of an axe. With a fearsome booming roar, Gwen continues her assault on the Hobgoblin.

OOC

Full round action attack

Both Hobgoblins need to make a save for Dreadful Wrath. (Save DC 13)

"When you charge, make a full attack, or cast a spell that either targets an enemy or includes an enemy in its area, you gain the frightful presence ability for that round. Each enemy within a 20-foot radius of you must succeed on a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Cha modifier) or be shaken for 1 minute. Regardless of its success or failure on the saving throw, any creature exposed to this effect is immune to your frightful presence for the next 24 hours. This is an extraordinary morale effect."
