The final undead drops and you have secured the battlefield, the boss had fled the scene with the item he wanted so you might have to figure out where he went. Their god one is seldom used in these parts, Zief is a bad god whose domains are evil and destruction.

Searching the undead yields the following...

Psion

The spawn had nothing of value except the Masterworked chain that they attacked with.

 

Searching the room you find that the altar has already been emptied but you find a secret panel in the floor that you must remove, in this compartment is a golden baton adorned with symbols of necromancy and Erythnul. This must be the item they were looking for, there is also 2,000gp and a wand of Summon Undead 4 (50/50). Chrystal takes 250gp as her share but wants nothing else, with your job done you now head back north, and after a few days you arrive at Dragon Keep. You are informed that the Immoth and the troops have defeated the other forces of undead, you are made guests of honour and fed good food and plenty of drink. You can then summon the RFT portal and return back home.

Based on her xp total, it appears that Vana should have been level 5 already. She is listed on my sheet as having just over 9k xp. Apparently I forgot to update everything or leveled up mid-mission. Since this was the only encounter in the mission, it appears to have been the former. Woops! How much does that change the XP she would gain?

spacer.pngVanaliniel breathes a sigh of relief as the undead finally fall and Zaria pads back to her side with a faint whine. She gives the wolf a light pat as everyone goes through the bodies of the fallen and the area in general for whatever spoils may exist. As they do that, once the area is considered entirely clear, she helps drag the bodies outside to be burned so they cannot be raised again later. It's harder to do in a tundra, but just as necessary as elsewhere.

Once they've returned to Dragon Keep and rested and healed up, and the magical equipment taken from the undead is identified, she asks only for the amulet and her fair share of the coin; suggesting that anything the party does not want ought to be sold and the money from that added to the pool to be split. It's a common (and fair) method of dividing such treasures, so she doesn't anticipate any problems from it.
