Stepping back to try to flank with Vri again, she held her attack until the other woman was ready then hit with both claws this time.

As the android reloads her firearm and the shaman retrieves her crossbow to cock a bolt onto the flight groove, Vri and T'Sarra moved into position to gang up upon the robot once more.
 

Between them, and Barhuce coming in to clobber it with his mace, the metal automaton lost its footing, falling over under one of its three leg as sparks flew and a briefly toxic burning smell rose from some of its mangled bits.

Having experienced first-hand that these robots could heal themselves, Vri quickly removed a few parts and wires she could reach to prevent this one from doing so, or at least make it a lot more difficult.

"What now? Head back up or move on. I think the spell will not last much longer. We can drag this thing back up and sell the parts like we did with the others."

Wrecked Robot

As at Khonnir's place, T'Sarra kept hitting the thing a while after it stopped moving, making sure it wasn't going to self-repair.

"Probably not a bad idea. OK, back up?" She grunted and hefted as much of the thing as she could manage, possibly dragging it back.

"Got one, but we'll be back." she smiled at Sef on the way back through, assuming she could even see her, moving back to the beach.

Black Hill Caves — Rubble-Choked Hall / Short Hallway

After a few more minutes of kicking battering the robotic creature's metal frame, ripping some wires and whatnot, plus a random feature here and there pried or torn off from the chassis and a few others mangled, your group feels pretty reassured that this thing isn't going to get up again.

 

spacer.png"Oh hells no." As T'Sarra began to pick up the dead robot, Val spoke up to voice her concerns, protesting a detail about the idea of taking the robot back, "After that last one, we are NOT bringing this one back home. Nope, nuh-uh."

Wrecked Robot

T'Sarra frowned at Val while she worked hard to push, pull and drag the robot over the uneven ground to the shoreline.

"Not home! Not to Khonnir's but Sanvil bought the last one. Stands to reason he'll want this one too. Gave good coin for it too. Shame to pass it up. Anybody know how to tell if the good Father's water breathing spell is still active? Not that I look forward to breathing that water, but it'd be good to know. Oh, this will probably work" She paused and cast detect magic on her allies, looking for signs they had magic on them. Then she untied Vri's rope from the piton, tied it to the robot and got to work.

"Should make it easier to drag to the other side. We can reattach the rope when we come back."

"Sell it as quickly as possible," Vri agreed, helping with securing the dead robot with the ropes so they could haul it back, "get something cold to deal with the mold and see if we can secure a longer interval tomorrow. The priest might be able to cast the spell more if he knows it's needed, giving us more time."

She would help with getting the robot back through the water. The ropes should at least make it easier to get back.

Black Hill Caves — Entry Cavern

Val continued to grumble something under her breath about how the last time she had one of these in her home all she got was a busted door, a ruined rug that she can't possibly wash the acid smell off of, and a bunch of bullet holes in the wall.

 

T'Sarra Only

Your detect magic spell still manages to pick up the faint transmutation aura of the water breathing spell cast earlier by Father Kyte.

 

Having delibrated on a method of how to transport the now semi-mangled metal hulk, your group makes the necessary arrangements, detaching the rope from the piton to make it work with the makeshift block and tackle.

Wrecked Robot Transport

T'Sarra looked from robot to shore, catching her breath.

"Well, that was probably the worst of it. Still, while I reckon we can still breath the water, I ... really don't want to be breathing that shit if I can help it. So," She stopped and stripped off her armor, stowing it in her backpack.

"Nobody get excited, it'll just make swimming easier. So, no time like the present."

She waded in, dragging the beast, using Barhuce's tool when she could to shimmy it along and going up or back for breaths when she needed them rather than breathe in the water. But it was good to know she could if she needed to.

Vri rolled her eyes at Barhuce's reaction, but she would help where directed. She wasn't the strongest nor the best swimmer, but she did what she could to help.
