Viera is glad the fight last night was quick. She stretches as she climbs out of the tent in the morning and moves through her scythe forms to warm up for the day. They then spend the entire day chasing the enemy forces again.

The following evening, they finally catch up. The spellcasters begin discussing options for improving the party's capabilities. The scythe-wielder stops to actually consider her own options. She has at least a few self-buffing options after all. They're even relatively low-cost. She often doesn't bother with them because fights don't last long enough for them to matter much, but if they're going to be cutting through a veritable army to reach the enemy leader(s), then it might be worth it to burn her resources on this fight.

"That said, I'm not particularly great at stealth." She turns to their guide. "Do we know if the enemy must hold this location for their plans, or would they attempt to escape by magical means if confronted?"

"Don't worry about the illusions dearie. I have that covered well. That is my specialty in fact. If you can give protection, I can deceive if needed. I also have my emergency rope trick handy as well. Just be mindful of your spatial baggage. I'd like to not get sent into the aether. As you can see I can also shapeshift if needed. There is some gentle shuffling of fabric, as if he attempted to add some extra flourish or posing, followed by a sigh of apparent realization that it was for naught. "If you do get in a pinch... I'll distract them from a distance... give you a chance to escape."

Moving over to the ruin, Austin begins to look for a lookout. At first, she cannot see anything, then towards the back, she can see two creatures hiding behind a low wall (1 & 2). They are humanoids with a pair of scimitars, they look like they are native to the area. There are some stairs leading down just in front of them, they look like there is light down there due to a flickering shadow.
