Initiative Order

Seemingly on some kind of a roll with that thing, Violet moves forward to the next four-armed skeleton toward the northeast and whacks it in the skull, but her metal stick bounced off after only taking one tooth with it.

 

Keshka's arrow whizzed through the air to pierce into the skeleton's(Z) lower left elbow, lodging deep into the joint and inadvertently partying off Vri's own attack with her rapier, before the undead creature's movement finally cracks and snaps it.

 

Following through with what the others have started, T'Sarra stabs their collective foe in the spine where the creature's abdominal organs must've once been, and with a twist of her weapon she dislodges one vertebrae from the next, effectively bisecting the creature. As the top half clatters down, the lower half struggles a little bit, staggering back and circling confused, before it too topples over into a useless pile.

 

Barhuce's bomb does a swish around the inner rim of another skeleton's(S) iliac crest before exploding with acid, the violent reaction instantly melting some of the bone as the splash of acrid liquid begins eating away at the rest.

 

Val moves sideways up beside the half-elf, and quickly jamming another cartridge into her pistol, a BANG! sounds from the muzzle shortly after, the bullet chipping a small fragment away from the femur of the skeleton toward the east.

 

The skeleton with now one missing tooth strikes back against the android, managing in its many-armed attacks to scratch her in the thigh, to which Violet winces and reels slightly. The other closes in on Vri and Val, striking the half-elf with a claw on her left forearm.

"Us swarming them," Vri said as she took his claw on her rapier, twisted it to cut the hand off and then went on the attack.

She moved to surround the one by Barhuce, since the others seemed to have the other one properly swarmed already, and Vi seemed like she was getting a lot of unwanted attention.

Keshka's arrow glanced off one of the skeleton's(A) vertebrae beneath the ribcage. Had this been a creature still possessing flesh and blood, this might've done'em in.

 

Vri's fancy rapier play may have parried away the thing's previous assault, but her own blade cuts across the bone without managing to find the crevice between the joints for the moment.

 

Barhuce gives his 'bash stick' another go, and manages to provide enough of a distraction for T'Sarra to move in to stab around a few times at the other skeleton's(D) pelvic area, finally managing to dislodge the thing's sacral spine. As before, this one jiggled around a bit as the top half did a different dance than the bottom half, then the whole thing clattered ineffectively to the sand.

 

With the last of your opponents remaining on the field, Violet switched targets again as she moved around to flank it, sweeping out the skeleton's left calf with her metal stick. As she does, Val steps back and reloads her gun, and with another loud BANG! the bullet shatters one of the intervertebral discs where the thing's stomach would've been.

 

A quick look around suggests that the surrounding dunes are now finally clear.

 

"Did you see that‽" Val exclaims as the last one fell.

"What? Are you sure?" Keshka approached the fallen skeleton and poked at the skull with one of her arrows. Once she was confident that nothing would jump out she picked it up to examine.

"Not a clue whatsoever," Vri said about the four-arm thing, "but I did see a lot of things on my travels and if there's one thing I know is that I haven't seen it all. So there could be a race of four-armed being somewhere out there. As to the eye glow, isn't that what animated skellies do? At least, that's how they're portrayed in stories. Mostly it's a red glow, but that doesn't mean there can't be a green glow."

She poked one with her rapier, not wanting to pick it up.

T'Sarra did her best to kick the remaining ones apart. "As long as they don't get back up, I'm not sure it matters what color their eyes were. I'm more interested in that glow over there."

She pointed towards the light Val had seen earlier off in the distance as she moved through the group tapping the wounded with the 'big' wand.

"Who knows how many more of these there are. We should be cautious, but let's head in that direction."

 

Mechanics

Sorry 4 charges and 4 rounds, turns out Vri parried both the attacks on her.
