Change of question, since I think I finally found what I was looking for rather than just shooting in the dark.

The Doppelganger monstrous humanoid progression (Races of Destiny, pgs 95 - 96): the +4 racial bonus to Bluff and Disguise isn't mentioned in the class-equivalent breakdown. Would it come at level 1 in that case?

Provisional options request:

EnforcerPathfinder SRD

Prerequisite: Intimidate 1 rank.

Benefit: Whenever you deal nonlethal damage with a melee weapon, you can make an Intimidate check to demoralize your target as a free action. If you are successful, the target is shaken for a number of rounds equal to the damage dealt. If your attack was a critical hit, your target is frightened for 1 round with a successful Intimidate check, as well as being shaken for a number of rounds equal to the damage dealt.
- Pathfinder feat

Unnatural AuraDragon 356 pg89
You acquired your power by infusing yourself with supernatural essence of a magical beast. The creature had a scent, aura, or other emanation to potent that it infused your very being. While most creatures barely notice, your aura (even if they are affected by it), animals are extremely sensitive to it and find it disturbingly threatening.
Benefit: You Posses an unnatural aura. You gain a +2 bonus on all Intimidate checks and to the DC of spells from the fear subschool that you cast.
Drawback: Your unnatural aura distrubs creatures of the animal and vermin types, imposing a -2 penalty on any skill checks or wild empathy checks you make dealing with them.
- Dragon Magazine trait

Don't use that progression. Use the RLA Progression instead. It's the same thing (or, it's supposed to be), but without the Level Adjustment.

@Grudge I noticed your app. You have Warblade 2 || Fighter 2
If you went with default LA +1 Goliath, then you still have an extra level
Warblade || LA +1
Warblade || Fighter 1
Warblade || Fighter 2

Sorry, for technically poking you, but this one is kinda important. I never played Gestalt with LA adjustment and I always just started lower level. So just to clear up any future character LA takes up just 1 side and I'm technically Warblade 3 II Goliath 1/Fighter 2 or something like that?

Yes, one point of LA is treated like one level in a class.

Thanks. Hadn't thought to look there. Would Doppelgangers be eligible for the [Racial] feats Persona Immersion, Quick Change, Racial Emulation (Races of Eberron 110)?

And are the specialist familiars from it looks like Dragon #323 (GitP reference thread) available?

I’m ok with letting Doppelgängers count as Changelings.

We seem to have a lot of familiar options. If you want, feel free to keep the stats and change the look. A friend of mine used to play a pirate wizard, and his raven familiar looked like a parrot. Still a talking bird, but appropriate for the campaign. No balance issues, because mechanically, it was a raven.

Refluffing animals as similar animals is pretty par for the course. Just take a look at the extended familiar list and it will say a bunch of birds "stats as raven/owl" and some of the rodents "as rat/dire rat". In some of the modules I've read through it says to do the same thing for some of the animals.

@Delia2531 You aren't referring to PF Feats though correct? The warforged gunslinger I took the gunsmithing feat. and used the 3.5 D&D Artisans tools 55gp in place of the PF gunsmithing kit which was like 15g.

Provisional Sources

Material from these sources can potentially be used, but each individual item you wish to use must be requested specifically and approved by a moderator. See the Rulings / House Rules threads for specific approved/banned lists.

The default position is still 'disallowed' but this bullet gives you scope to ask for a feat to be included. Feats from PF need to be requested individually, and we add the approved ones to the House Rules section. If you've used a PF feat that isn't on the approved list, and you intend to submit the build for review, then you need to request approval for the feat too.

We're just asking players to make sure the build ends up in a character they want to play before requesting a rule review, rather than request a review for an idea that then never makes it to a finished build because the finished build didn't do what had been hoped.

Gunsmithing isn't on the pre-approved, or specifically approved, lists; so when you have a build you want to run with it we'll need to review the feat first.

Understood, but I actually don't think the list of approved PF Feats is actually up to date. There's like only 2 PF Feats currently listed, and there are multiple apps, including one of my own that have been approved. Anyways, thanks for clarification either way.

Given that firearms are allowed, taking gunsmithing just lets me craft them.
