When he finally realized that the mans outburst was not, in fact, a warning cry, he wiped the bead of sweat from his brow and settled the sword back into it's scabbard with a satisfying thump. "So... Williorn... You... Ah... Care to elaborate?"

OOC: Yes, I will respond soon! I'm almost done getting set up in my new apartment and new job, I just haven't been able to post because I don't have Internet. This is being written from my cell phone on mobile data, and it's hard for me to format IC posts this way.

Luckily, Internet is getting installed this afternoon, so I'll try to get everything updated (this game included) between now and the weekend.

Nemyl looked at Willorn and said "I can rid you of that if you want me to, if it is under control are you getting any benefit from it? Spirits that reside in people often bestow gifts such as magical powers or knowledge, if it is an evil spirit it might sway you toward it's cause and that might lead you to trouble you do not want", there is an obvious logic to her words.

Henry cocks his head slightly, and one corner of his lip curls, as he looks the man over. After a moment, he shrugs and returns to his book, chirping over the top of the pages. "Well, that seems like a hassle... Comes with the territory though, I guess... Gallivanting about... Fighting ancient evils and all..."

 

He looks up again to give the wizard a toothy grin. "But hey, if you start sprouting horns or breathing fire, we'll just give you a little bonk on the head... See if that resets things."

spacer.pngViera eyes Williorn suspiciously when he mentions being, essentially, possessed. She makes a mental note to keep a close eye on him. Spellcasters are dangerous at the best of times; being possessed by a 'fiendish spirit' does not make her any more comfortable. Still, he says he has it under control (for the moment), so perhaps she can allow him the benefit of the doubt.

That said, she doesn't think Henry's joke is very appropriate and gives him the stink eye from beneath the brim of her hat.

As the cart trundles along the ancient path, it becomes obvious that there must be something that lives in this area, strange swirling patterns can be seen in the sand that are reminiscent of perhaps a large snake. The patterns do not look like they run in any set direction, judging by the size of the swirls it must be a very big creature that made them.

Austin

She giggles at the thought of Willorn being possessed by an evil spirit. She has never heard of him or knows what he can do, but the thought of a demon taking over and going rampant does sound funny to her.

"Maybe you should let him out a little. It might take the pressure off. Then again, it might backfire horribly. You never know with those types."

Austin makes herself comfortable against Henry while looking out the window. Occasionally bouts of giggles escape as she thinks of how funny a rampaging skinny white boy swinging his staff around acting demonish would be.
