Keep it up! It will not take long for that thing to kill and unconscious victim.

Hoping that they can manage to save the dwarf, Rodin fires another arrow.

OOC

Elven Lowlight vision, so he can see 40' a if full lit rather than the normal 20 of the torch.

Will take 10 on Spot and Listen checks for a total of 15 each when not in combat.

It gets a +3 bonus if any of those are applied to Drow or large spiders.

Yes, Rodin is still borrowing Auriel's bow. The serpent tongue arrows he is using do both slashing and piercing damage. They are designed to use to cut ropes and break things more effectively.

Just in case that makes a difference here.

Jessie scowls when her aim is untrue and the arrow she had fired flies wide during the heat of battle! Calm down little lady and focus or someone is going to lose an arm, or worse, the diminutive Halfling thinks quietly to herself in an attempt to calm her frustration.

Refusing to again fight the nasty bloodthirsty begonia in 'hand-to-tendril' combat after nearly falling prey to its insidious grasp earlier in the day, instead the tiny rogue will move side-to-side to get a free shot at the main trunk through all the activity of the skirmish.

Once Jessie has a good line of sight on the rampaging rosebush's main 'trunk' while staying out of reach of its tendrils, Jessie carefully aims and releases an arrow at the insidious flesh-eating weed sinking the small arrow solidly in its green flesh.

Standard Action: Attack Main Body of Assassin Vine with MW Short Bow

Move: As necessary to gain a line of sight

Full Round Action:

Jessie Tosscobble III's AppearanceJessie is small standing at 2 foot 8 inches and weighing a mere 27 pounds. As such, the lass intentionally keeps her brown hair long to cover her halfling features, which allows the rogue to pass herself off as a small humanoid or even young human or half-elven child when convenient or necessary.

Dressed dark purple clothing, which is overlaid with attractive black leather accoutrements, Jessie keeps the paraphernalia of her 'profession' secreted upon her person, and especially the authorities, except when in use.

Her friendly blue eyes and warm, sincere smile are disarming and allow the lass to paint a picture of a young girl who is completely unintimidating by all appearances, an assumption often made by others which suits her well and which she actively cultivates.

To promote this look of youth or innocence, most of Jessie's weapons, alchemical doodads, pack, and other equipment are kept hidden under her clothing and also by her large heavy dark green cloak.

Maximilian Cornelius Spurbright   Human Wizard from Cormyr

Feeling helpless without his wand, and with his most useful offensive spell doing barely more than bruising the plant, Maximilian decided to gamble on his accuracy with the small vial in his coat pocket. He took out the vial of alchemist's fire he kept within easy reach and moved to a more advantageous spot, trying to lob the vial over the plant creature to explode on its left, away from his allies.

Actions

Move to the square south of Rodin, throw alchemist's fire at the square on the left side of the plant creature (25ft away).

Despite the restraints of the vines, Aeruiel manages to land a second cut in the main vine.

Bochs continues to be constricted.

Rodin looses another arrow but once more the arrow flies wide of its mark, this time only slightly off course.

Morn continues to struggle against the withing vines covering the floor and ceiling of the cavern.

The vine continues its squeezing of Bochs, brining the divine warrior dangerously close to his demise by the looks of it as he begins to turn purple.

Max steps forward and tosses a flask of alchemical fluid that bursts into flames as it hits the ground, slightly scorching the main vine that seems not only no worse for wear, but fully unscathed, it's tough and damp exterior resisting the flames with ease.

Jesse too takes aim at the vine, her second arrow landing in it as well, causing some more oozing of it's sap.

Desperate, Kethra tries to keep the dwarf alive, calling on the wand in her hands once more and managing to cure enough of his wounds to return some red to flush his tonality.

(Lots of elven curses)

Rodin takes aim at the main stem and lets fly with another arrow. The arrow misses again. In disgust Rodin drops the bow and draws his dagger as he tries to charge in to help the dwarf. He manages to avoid getting entangled in the other plants and manages to reach the dwarf.

Jessie frowns when her buddy, Rodin, gets frustrated, abandons his bow, and draws a dagger only to rush headfirst into the thrashing tendrils comprising the bloodthirsty plant's entangling grip, which somehow has seemed to have enticed nearly everyone around to engage in a macbre dance of death with the Assassin Vine.

Hey people, the damn battling begonia gets its name for a reason ya know, the diminutive Halfling thinks to herself as she loads another small, yet razor-sharp arrow into her fancy composite short bow, clearly refusing to enter the flailing plant's range after having learned her lesson earlier in the day, at which time she nearly perished for the second time since breakfast.

Resolved to maintain her tactic, the tiny rogue carefully aims her bow away from the tendrils entangling her colleagues and the newcomers and directly at the main trunk which Rodin had verified was the best way to kill it at the beginning of the skirmish. A barely audible 'zfffft' followed by a solid "Thunk" made it clear to all that Jessie had again hit the mark, but unfortunately this rampaging rose bush was hard to kill!

This time around, much to her chagrin, Aeruiel fails to connect with the vine with her axe.

Bochs continues to be constricted.

Frustrated with another missed arrow, Rodin steps forward forcefully and manages to avoid the entangling vines surrounding the main vine as he draw a dagger.

Morn continues to struggle against the withing vines covering the floor and ceiling of the cavern.

The vine continues its squeezing of Bochs, brining the divine warrior dangerously close to his demise yet again as he begins to turn purple.

Max quickly scours the floor for a suitable sling stone, which he finds as he draws his sling.

Jesse takes aim and manages to sink another arrow in the main vine from her low set position.

In her desperation, Kethra gets entangled by the writhing vines but manages to call on the wand in her hands once more and cure enough of Bochs wounds to keep him breathing!
