Make a Topic Private, see the user guide below. (This only works in a game) so start a private game, call it whatever you like and use it to store all your templates, etc.

Thank you! One more quick question, sorry:

How do I search a member by name? There is a certain DM I used to play with that I'd like to message. I can find them on the old site, but can't figure out how to search here.

By using the search bar at the top of the main page.... Just select members from the drop down.

How are the language blocks are supposed to work?

Hmm, seems we're behind in updating the guides. Language blocks leverage linked character sheets to reveal or obscure text based on whether the player's character knows the language. Here is the dev new post about it: https://www.myth-weavers.com/index.php?/topic/1295-dev-news-stream/&do=findComment&comment=67524

Is there a way to clone or copy/paste dice? I like the clone feature but if you can also clone the dice it would be cool

Yes! (See also need to get guides updated.) Click on the dice label to clone one roll string, which you can then paste into the Command Line Interface (>_) of the dice tower. If you click on the dice icon, it should copy all the rolls from a given post.

Hi all,

Does anyone have best-practices on deleting unwanted posts / threads / forums?

I have a couple of posts within a thread that I would like to remove, and I note that soft-delete is available to me, and from reading through the history here it looks like hard-delete is not a planned feature.

I also have an entire thread that ended up being duplicate information, so I'd happily delete that too if I could.

Is there a way that I could move all these unwanted posts out of their current thread and into a combined thread where I could delete the thread as whole?

Perhaps the idea here is that we simply must live with our mistakes.

Thanks

I have an additional question as we're learning the ins and outs of MW...

Two people today have been trying to edit existing posts, and then had their work not save.

Without knowing any better, I'd think we're doing something wrong, either how I've got pages set up, or how we're trying to do the edits.

Does anyone with more site knowledge see something we're doing wrong?

Post this in a separate thread in Site Feedback. I'll need very detailed explanations of what was being edited, and how. This hasn't been reported recently, and there have been no changes on the code side, so I'm keen to figure out if there is an infrequently used feature or a new browser oolie that might be common among the two cases.

I used to be able to clone a character sheet. Very useful for updating a character for a level up and maintaining back up so progress can be tracked and checked.
Where did that function go?
Edit: also, when I create a new sheet, I don't see where I can make it private anymore
