Flaming DwarfThis time, when the blue creature appeared out of nowhere, Igni was ready. As the thing tried to take a bite out of Brody, the dwarf lashed out at it, swinging his hammer down before it could disappear again.

As he did so, he missed a set of nimble fingers making off with one of his possessions. Without his holy symbol Igni would find it more difficult to call on Tharmekhul's power. Having lost one spellcasting item he was not about to lose the other. Igni kept his shield tight to his body, protecting the spell component pouch at his waist from any more long fingers which might try to steal it.

While Igni and Brody narrowly avoid killing each other by accident, Mystress Mezzina’s well-placed arrow hits the creature in the throat, where it promptly dies. A cheer goes up from the spectators!
 

The green creatures do not return. Perhaps they are content with their ill-gotten gains or perhaps they are afraid they will be killed next?
 

The darkness spell expires behind you. You do not see the beholder.

Brody moves forward on quiet feet till he is right at the turn. he tries and peeks around the corner as best he can hoping not to bring attention to them from any other creatures, at least not before he could warn the others. He kept his eyes peeled and his ears focused on hearing anything that would warn him of danger. he kept a close watch on anything that would clue him into a trap as well.

Not seeing a response to his breath attack, he re-buffs Mezzina. Catching up to Igni and Brody, he re-buffs them as well before hitting himself with it. He keeps his eyes and ears open, but now he is confused as to what happened and what is currently going on.

Flaming DwarfBoth Igni and Brody lashed out at the creature between them, but it was Mezzina who took it down in a single shot with a perfectly placed arrow. "Nicely done! This bugger won't be popping up again that's for sure!" he commented approvingly, poking the dead blue thing with one armoured boot.

The disappearing thieves seemed to have disappeared for good this time and Igni was fairly certain he was never going to see his holy symbol again. He whispered a prayer of apology to Tharmekhul and resolved to replace the stolen item with another shining silver one and to pick up a plain wooden or iron one as well, just to have a backup. That was once he was out of this damned spectator dungeon at last, but for now it was time to press on.

Brody was scouting ahead and Igni knew he could never match the high elf's talent for stealth so he didn't try. Instead he used a movement mode which made no sound by involving no movement and he teleported ahead to just around the next corner, bracing himself for the floor to fall out from under him as it had the first time. If he landed on solid ground Igni was prepared to hit the first hostile creature he saw. After being pickpocketed once he was not about to let anything else get the better of him in here.

Nothing much happens as you walk the stones of the dungeon. Above, you can hear the spectators eating snacks and refilling drinks, eager to see what grim fate befalls you next.

Flaming DwarfTurning the corner and seeing nothing before him but more corridor, Igni continued to advance. As he did so, he checked the stonework around him for any sign that it was more than it seemed. After the debacle with the pitfall trap he was on the lookout for tripwires, pressure plates or anything else which could be the trigger for a trap or even that there might be a secret door nearby.

As Igni moves toward the corner (5 ft south of your current position), he notices a narrow gap between several of the stones.

To his great surprise, a scythe blade swings out from between the stones!

He sees the lead moving on. Not wanting to be left too far behind, he starts to catch up to Igni before he sees the backside of the dwarf just stop. Stopping himself, he waits for the others before going any further.
