Ez shoots at arrow at Dshalvur, but it just sails past him.

Dshalvur

Dshalvur scowls at Ez and Gregory for a moment before turning and running through the portal to the other side. Once through, his scowl turns to face Kildrak. "Give me that bird!" he hisses angrily as he rushes towards the wagon, just reaching it.

Chase Scene

Gregory

((The portal is low to the ground, so you will have to descend to 5 ft above the ground to pass through.))

Gregory pushes through to the other side and hits Dshalvur square in the head with an acid orb. The acid sizzles as it hits, but the blue flames of Dshalvur's body weakened and swirled violently for a moment.

Grues

One of the grues rushes at Ez and attempts to slam right into him.

Slam

The other grue bolts through the portal and runs forward to get alongside the wagon.

The Party

HooGrawr rushes towards the remaining grue. As she charges, Gothika's arrow flies over her heead and stabs into the grue. HooGrawr arrives and pounces on the grue, but it faints away from her and avoids the attack.

Talissa cracks the reins and moves the wagon further forward. "Just a little further," she says, "I think we're going to have to stop and fight him. Hopefully the others can find their way through the portal!"

Ez

Ez runs right through the portal. It's sweltering hot on the other side. Orange and red flames dance and burn everywhere, and the bright blue of Dshalvur's flaming body contrast sharply with the environment.

Dshalvur

The cinderspawn rushes up towards the wagon, but slows before reaching you. He inhales deeply, and breaths out a cone of painfully cold frost.

((This is a frost breath spell. Ref DC 14 halves the damage. If you fail the save, you are dazed for 1 round.))

Gregory

Gregory rushes to help the group at the wagon. It's very, very hot here on the Plane of Fire, and you get the sense you'll start taking fire damage from the heat if you don't get some form of protection soon.

((Technically, you're supposed to take fire damage every round, but that's a bit too harsh for a 5th-level party, so I'm giving you a few rounds' grace period.))

Grues

The grue on the Plane of Fire races after the wagon, catching back up to it.

The grue on the Material Plane attacks HooGrawr.
