Chase Scene

The Party

Gothika flies quickly towards the portal, while HooGrawr stays behind to tear the annoying grue up. Her frustrations bear fruit, and the fiery thing is easily torn asunder by her feral claws.

((No crits vs an elemental, but it doesn't matter: you still did enough damage.))

Kildrak is again not able to land his blow on Dshalvur, who's savvy enough to keep his distance and evade the warhammer.

Talissa & Co.

Stabilize on 10

Talissa remains unconscious, and the life continues slowly draining from her.

Meanwhile, the phoera is quite flustered by all the activity, and it unleashes a blast of flame from its beak (this hits Kildrak and Dshalvur, but Dshalvur is immune):

This side of the portal appeared to be a blazing inferno of a world. Ez tried not to think about what would happen after the enchantment of his cloak wore off. Take care of the villain, save the girl..

Chase Scene

Ez

Ez bursts onto the Plane of Fire and takes only a second to adjust. He easily spots the bright blue of Dshalvur against the bright orange of the landscape, and shoots an arrow at him. The arrow just goes wide (AC 18), and Dshalvur looks back to see who's shooting at him now.

Dshalvur

Dshalvur runs around the right side of the wagon and shoves Talissa's limp form off. Talissa hits the ground like a sack of potatoes, and Dshalvur prepares to climb aboard the wagon himself. The fire horse whinnies nervously and begins kicking and milling about (she's probably going to bolt on her next turn).

Gregory

Gregory swoops down swiftly to heal Talissa's wounds. Her eyes flutter open and she looks around herself in confusion for a moment. She soon recognizes where she is and works out what must have happened. "Oh, thank you, Gregory!" she says. Then, she points up at Dshalvur. "He's going to take the wagon! You have to stop him!"

((I'm not showing a map for the Forest map anymore, because there are no enemies left to fight there. HooGrawr has about 85 feet to go to get the portal, and Gothika has about 55 feet to go.

Oh, I also forgot to move Gregory: imagine that you're at Z14 (or wherever else you'd prefer).))

Moving heedlessly towards Dshalvur, he stood his ground directly in front of him and attempted to smash his face in so hard that the villain toppled off the cart.

Chase Scene

The Party

Gothika and HooGrawr run to the portal. As Gothika passes through, HooGrawr hesitates and stops. From where you are, you can see into the Plane of Fire, a landscape of flaming trees and grasses. You can almost feel the heat radiating from the portal.

Kildrak picks his way past the phoera's cage and swings his hammer at Dshalvur.

((Undead are technically immune to anything that allows a Fort save, but that's dumb in this case, so I'm rolling anyway.))

The grue will attempt an AoO:

Talissa & Co.

(( @joran1313, do you have any protection from fire? For this post, I assume you don't.))

Talissa touches Gregory's shoulder and casts attune form on him. "I should have thought of this earlier," she says apologetically, "Sorry: I'm not a good planner."

She then turns to call out to Ez: "Ez! Come here! I can cast a spell that protects from the heat!"

Chase Scene

Ez Chazak

Ez's arrow seems to pass right through the grue's body of waving flames, with harming it. When he arrives, Talissa is already looking back towards the portal. "Gothika!" she shouts, beckoning towards the erinyes, "Do you need protection from the heat? And HooGrawr too! Where is she?"

Dshalvur

The cinderspawn growls in annoyance at Kildrak and swings his arms at the dwarf:

((2 hits, I reckon.))

Kildrak feels a searing cold from Dshalvur's touch, and it seems to assault and corrode his mind. ((This is Charisma drain again. Fort DC 19 negates)):

In its cage, the phoera is squaking in a great panic, flapping against the far side of the cage and trying to cram itself out between the bars (it obviously can't smash itself through though).
